Corrections:

Maggie is now Magee Bright.

Clarifications:
I’ve done a number of mini sketches of her, and a full sized drawing, but held most of them back from posting, because I knew they weren’t quite right.

I have yet to sketch her as I have finally come to see her in my minds eye, I am still trying to decide on which medium to use, Paints? Markers? Inks? Pixels?

But this is how I see her;

She is quick silver, like a liquid silver flame.

If you have ever taken the time to stare blindly at the flame of a tapered candle, you may begin to form a mental image of Magee. Instead of yellow and blue, she is silver and white.

Her form is guazey and flickers from this movement to that. She is very sweet, her mind is quick, she has a definate philothrampic streak, and is a poet.

Uta and Atm are twins, brother and sister, best friends, soul mates.

The are Picses and begin as Pages of Cups. As they grow mature and come into their own of course they will advance from Pages to Mages.
Sal Selenium Is a master of navigation. He can box the compass, ride the currents, and he has an eye for value making him an excellent prospector. His qualities are in high demand on the sea trade, and he is most often in the employ of Zeit Geist, The equivilent of “The Man”. More on him later. Sal is a Taurus, and to him Magee is a manifestation of the Goddess of Love, Venus. Sal’s a romantic. Sal is stocky, well built and of a reddish hue, reddish blond hair always messy, with eyes as grey as the sea. He is a mature man approaching the height of his career, but is missing the one thing that he truly longs for, love. Romantic Sal.

New Characters:

JR (still havn’t decided on a name.) Is somewhat younger than Sal, he is just entering his adulthood and is having a bit of a crisis in faith. He isn’t sure if he wants to follow in his father’s footsteps, but isn’t sure what he really wants to do with his life. He is trying to keep a look out for his sister, who flew the coup, sort of. He comes across a juicy bit of information that if used correctly could solve all his problems. But, is it ethical?

JR is a Virgo, the Page of Pentacles, as Dad (Mr. Geist) is the King of Pentacles.
He is slight of build, with dark penetrating eyes, like his father’s. He has a penetrating intellect exceeding his dad’s, people say he looks like his father, but thinks like his mother. Since he has ended his apprenticeship at his fathers direction he has developed quite a brisk buisness in stock and power broking, but is beginning to feel weighed down by his own sucess. The more successful he becomes, the more unhappy he is.

Zeit Geist “The Man”, Mr. Geist sits at the center of everything Oceanic. He has a monopoly on the trade winds, most everything that is transported by them, has at one time or another passed through Geist’s hands, or one of his “businesses”, which are too many to count. Due to his business practices, Geist has eyes and ears in every corner of the world. Nothing happens with out him eventually knowing about it through his vast network of partners and employees.

He is a good man at heart, however a bit prone to paranoia, a side effect of information overload. As such you can imagine how over protective he may be towards his loved ones and especially his kids. As JR can attest. Sal is one of Geists most favored contractors, due to his expertise in navigation. Hementored Sal when Sal was just a lad, and in turn entrusted Sal to take his own son, JR under the wing during his apprenticeship.

Zeit Geist is the King of Pentacles, is a Capricorn, is a tall imposing man with broad shoulders, and a slight build. He has thick black hair, and dark penetrating eyes, like his son.
Still have two more characters to identify and define.

  1. Good luck. You prolly won’t need it, judging by all the planning — I’m a bit more scatter-brained, personally.

I’ll keep an eye out for the next crossover novel here. As I told C, I’ll probably need the occasional distraction in order to maintain my sanity.

    Again, good luck.

  2. Wow Hazel – this is turning out fantastically…..just think a few more hours and we get to begin actually writing! Ugh the last hours always drag so slowly. I am glad I have stuff like this here to read and occupy my mind!!! This is amazing, simply amazing

  3. wow; you seem ready and have planned well (i’m to differ). adding you to blogroll, i want to see how it’ll turn out eh? :) good luck!
